The NFL is becoming a joke

Maybe it is my love for my Redskins and how sorry they are playing lately that has me worked up about the NFL these days. Either way the news that Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from a group bidding for ownership of the St. Louis Rams is appalling. From MyWay.com:

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from a group seeking to buy the St. Louis Rams. Limbaugh was to be a limited partner in a bid led by St. Louis Blues chairman Dave Checketts, but Checketts said in a statement Wednesday that Limbaugh’s participation had complicated the effort. The group will move forward without him.

What a joke the NFL has become. So worried about their image that they let a race bating hack like Al Sharpton claim victory because he started his usual whining. How does being perceived as always caving to special interest groups help the NFL’s image? Sure Limbaugh can stir a pot and I do not particularly care for his blame everyone that isn’t a Republican crap that he pulls too often but on Sundays do I really care about politics? No. Do I think that Rams’ fans care who the owner is as long as they contribute positively to the development of the football team? Of course not. Thanks commisioner for standing up for free speech in this country, you have set a precedent that can only lead to further political correctness in your league. Great job! Did I mention that I am a Redskins fan? Oops, there went my chance of ever owning a NFL team. Me and my blasted divisive words!! Shame on the NFL, I know it is not much but I have big plans for my $300 I won’t have to spend now on Sunday Ticket next year because I would hate to contribute to a league that is so concerned with its image it forgets that its fan base is comprised of free speech loving Americans.

Frustrated

Received a CNN breaking news alert text earlier today on my cell phone letting me know that Michael Jackson’s gold casket was on stage at the Staples Center. Wow, thanks CNN! Thank goodness I was aware of that breaking news. Not to be outdone by themselves, CNN followed that up with a news alert text letting me know that Jackson’s daughter said he was like the best father ever. Boy, I feel so much better knowing these tidbits of information. When did journalism in this country die? Between this sick obsession with the accused child molesting freak show and the undying devotion to the “One”, journalism is long dead here in the States.

Where is the questioning of all the spending being done by Washington? The hard hitting stories on what Cap and Trade really means to the average American family and the future generations that this country is screwing for their personal gain today? We have officially lost our independent journalists and I fear because of it that we have also failed at the experiment our founding fathers started all those years ago. The founding fathers seemed concerned enough back in the day to make sure they include a freedom for the press; it was key to ensuring fair, democratic information was distributed to the masses. I propose today that we call our representatives and demand that they put forth an amendment giving us the people freedom from the press. I suggest we call that the Fishdeck Act of 2009. Now go make that phone call.

Dems playing word games with America’s safety

Just a follow up to the previous post.  Dems Says Pentagon Using Scare Tactics:

WASHINGTON (AP) – In their latest tussle with the White House on the Iraq war, two leading House Democrats said Tuesday the Pentagon was using scare tactics to try to goad Congress into passing another war spending bill.

And Reps. David Obey and John Murtha said they won’t budge. Obey, D- Wis., chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, and Murtha, D- Pa., head of the panel’s Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, said they won’t support more money for the war this year unless President Bush accepts a timetable for troop withdrawals.

Last week, the House passed a $50 billion bill that would keep operations afloat for several more months, but sets a goal of bringing most troops home by December 2008. After Bush threatened to veto the measure, Senate Republicans blocked it.

Ok, I won’t deny that I am very biased towards our military.  In fact I personally believe it is one of the few powers that the Federal government was actually given under the constitution.  With that disclosure out of the way, when will the average American realize that this current Congress is either very close to or already has betrayed American security past the point of repair?  Seriously, if we don’t have the balls to stick out a fight we are winning, how will we have the balls to fight a war that could go either way?

Look around the world right now, our enemies are rallying around a weak America.  Liberals would have you believe that if it weren’t for George Bush and his “failed policies”, that the world would love America unconditionally.  These are the same people who believed the cold war would go away if President Reagan weren’t such a stubborn dick.  They were wrong then and they are wrong now.  Stop trying to cut America’s balls off to please the other pussy countries of the world.  America must show its resolve to the rest of the world or we’ll be fighting a nuclear China and Russia instead of a bunch of misguided towel heads holding an express ticket to hell.

Murtha "Surrender is the American way"

I have absolutely had it with the idiots in public office, specifically John “Surrender” Murtha.  This cat is one of the craziest, most blatantly anti-American (read anti-Bush) Congressman this country has ever seen.  Thanks to Murtha’s stubbornness and pure hate for the current administration, he and his liberal homies could very easily snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  From the Washington Times, War progress not affecting fund standoff

House Democrats’ point man in the war-funding showdown with the White House today dismissed U.S. military gains in Iraq and vowed to tighten the purse strings until President Bush accepts a pullout plan.

“Look at all the people that have been displaced, all the [lost] oil production, unemployment, all those type of things,” said Rep. John P. Murtha, chairman of Appropriations defense subcommittee. “We can’t win militarily.”

Hmm, so if we can’t win militarily what are we suppose to do John, pass a comprehensive health care plan and the world will just love us to death?  If you read that second paragraph in the quote above, doesn’t it almost seem like he is talking about America?  Displaced people who have had to move from the cities they grew up in because the city has been over run by illegal immigrants and the lack of American drilling at home to appease the freaky environmentalists.  Shouldn’t we be happy Iraq has lost oil production?  Won’t that help save the frickin’ planet?  I am disgusted that millions of Americans have given their lives for this country and we show our gratitude by electing ass clowns like John Murtha.  Give yourself a pat on the back Pennsylvania, you must be proud!

Faith in global warming

So Barack Obama is now using faith to justify environmental hysteria? Obama Links Faith to Environmentalism:

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) – Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama said Sunday that his religious beliefs influence his plans for how to protect the environment.

Speaking before religious leaders and others at what he called an “interfaith forum on climate change,” the Illinois senator said God has entrusted humans with the responsibility of caring for the earth, and “we are not acting as good stewards of God’s earth when our bottom line puts the size of our profits before the future of our planet.”

“It is our responsibility to ensure that this planet remains clean and safe and livable for our children and for all of God’s children,” he told about 200 people gathered at the downtown public library. “But in recent years, science has made it undeniably clear that our generation is not living up to this responsibility. Global warming is not a someday problem, it is now.”

Personally, my faith is what leads me to believe global warming is an absolute joke. I’m not saying we can’t make the Earth heat up a tiny bit, I just don’t believe man is capable of destroying it. It is clear from scripture that there are people on Earth when Christ returns. If global warming can destroy the Earth how would this be possible? Perhaps Barack should read the Bible before he claims to know God’s desire for us on the planet He created. This is simply a bum politician trying to woo fence sitters by using flowery language to invoke a greater purpose in people. Or as I like to call it, a deceptive plan to destroy capitalism and create a socialist state.

More comments = more retards

ABCNews.com has posted excerpts of the long awaited Osama bin Laden video. How exciting! My favorite part isn’t the insane rambling of bin Laden, it’s the insane rambling of user comments. I feel like I have already done this today but here are a couple more of the thought provoking crap these retards spew:

Mr. Bin Laden always seems to pop up just when the White House needs him most to distract the American people from what’s really going on. And the fake beard? Try fake video– if Youtubers can produce special effects to rival Geroge Lucas on a Mac, how hard do you think it is for the government, backed by the latest in technology, to do the same with some old Bin Laden footage? Just for once, consider the source of all this media alarmist propaganda, and ask yourselves– who benefits? Not any of us, that’s for sure.

Osama bin Laden is a religious conservative.
George W Bush is a religious conservative.
These guys are opposite sides of the same koo koo coin.
They thrive on one another.
They need one another.
Without OBL, GWB wouldn’t be in office now.
Thanks to GWB, there is an incredibly effective terrorist training camp called “Iraq”.
The conservative mentality will destroy the world.

Ah the wisdom! How could we have been so wrong? It must be the conservative movement that will destroy the world, at least according to jc. News flash for you jc and your dim witted buddy h5mind, America was attacked by a group of terrorist swine almost six years ago today. It isn’t the conservative mentality that will destroy the world, it is the ignorance of ass clowns like you that conservatism is trying to protect. The more I hear from idiots like these two above, I have to wonder if it really is worth fighting to protect the liberties of those too retarded to understand what is at stake?

Bin Laden, almost as scary as conspiracy loons

Yesterday it was announced that a new al Qaeda video would be released soon, with the starring role going to the devil’s bitch, Osama bin Laden. Whatever, a new video from a child molesting, hell bound, sodomizing ass clown shouldn’t really warrant a lot of discussion. Al Qaeda still wants to kill us, we need to leave the Jews to fight for themselves, etc… I don’t even find it that unimaginable that the ass clown is still alive. What I can’t believe and what has already ruined my Friday morning, is the stupidity of others. Take for example reader comments at The Blotter, an ABC news’ web site, in response to a story about the new Bin Laden video: New Videotape From Bin Laden; Al Qaeda’s No. 1 Still Alive.

The following are a few of my favorite examples from a bunch of absolutely moronic retards:

Maybe Americans should force this President (Bush) to follow our Forefathers’ wishes, namely that we extricate ourselves from our involvement and meddling in the Mideast and pursue an isolationist course.

Stand firm against bin Laden, but stand firm for AMERICA’S interests, not Israels. Wouldn’t that be a refreshing change?

911 was an inside job. Wake up people.
ABC seems to be the go to network for this kind of propaganda. If there is a website with the video, why don’t you give the URL? Impeach Cheney/Bush before they nuke Iran.

Abrac… It’s a shame that those of you in the “blame Clinton” brigade forgot what the Republican party was up to when Clinton wanted to go after Osama. — I guess you forgot about Reagan, Bush Sr, etc. and how they helped build Al-Qaeda in the first place.. and how Bush Jr. couldn’t defend us against the monster his father helped create. — History is a great teacher, if you don’t ignore big chunks of it for the sake of partisanship.

If you were keeping score between these two knuckleheads Bush would not only be losing by a big scoe but in the minor leagues delegated to the bench. When are we going to let the American people know the truth? I’m still convinced the the WTC was an inside job.

In fairness there are quite a few comments on the site that are pro-American and not a bunch of conspiracy loons. The point being made here is Bin Laden is winning this war, every year that goes by sees more and more lefties jump off the deep end. We as a nation can’t project our will on others abroad when we don’t even know what this country stands for at home.

I’ll stop driving SUV’s when you return the gains from frivolous lawsuits Johnny boy

Presidential hopeful and full time hair product model John Edwards thinks America is ready to give up driving SUV’s.  North Carolina ABC 13 has the story: Edwards: Americans should sacrifice their SUVs

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards told a labor group he would ask Americans to make a big sacrifice: their sport utility vehicles.

The former North Carolina senator told a forum by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, yesterday he thinks Americans are willing to sacrifice.

Why should we stop John?  Because you asked us nicely?  Hogwash.  Despite the article title of this post I don’t begrudge Edwards’ compensation for his previous work (our legal system does need some serious fixing but that is a story for another day).  He worked hard and made his money, end of story.  On the same hand though, the rest of America also works hard for what they have and if they choose to drive an SUV over a gay magnet  Prius more power to them.  Are we really going to allow the government to tell us what kind of car we can buy?  This is America, home of the automobile, it’s not going to happen here John, unless you sue every American who chooses to exercise their free choice.

Don’t want your ball?

Muslims in the Khost province of Afghanistan are all worked up again, this time over a soccer ball with the Saudi flag on it.  The US dropped the balls into a village for the children to play with but apparently the balls weren’t good enough for them.  The soccer balls had the flags of many different countries printed on them including the Saudi flag.  U.S. apologizes to Afghans for soccer ball snafu:

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) – The U.S. military said Monday it regretted any offense it may have caused by giving out a soccer ball with the word Allah written on it as part of a public relations exercise in Afghanistan.

At least one of several balls dropped by helicopter to children in eastern Khost province had a small picture of the Saudi Arabian flag. The flag features in Arabic script the Islamic declaration of faith, which contains the words Allah and the Prophet Muhammad.

So let me get this straight, it is ok to murder Christian missionaries in your country but it isn’t ok to kick a soccer ball with the word Allah on it?  What happens when Americans start burning the Saudi flag much like the Muslim world is so fond of burning ours?  Am I the only one who finds it ludicrous how easily offended these people are?  Why is it again that CAIR offers “sensitivity” training to government workers but neglects to “train” their fellow believers in the fine art of being “sensitive”?

I vote we start using the ball in MLS play, that would at least raise awareness for the league around the world.  We would then have Beckham and a cool ball that pisses off our enemies.

South Korea going the appeasement route

South Korea, in a decidedly secular move, has chosen to bow to terrorist demands in order to save the live’s of 19 Korean missionaries. MSNBC.com has the story: Taliban, S. Korea reach agreement on captives:

GHAZNI, Afghanistan (AP) – The Taliban agreed Tuesday to free 19 South Korean church volunteers held hostage since July after the government in Seoul agreed to end all missionary work and keep a promise to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year.

Sadly South Korea will learn the lesson many a country has, most recently Spain, that appeasing thugs and butchers only validates that their methods work. It does nothing to curb their ways, it just gives the scum another talking point for their crap movement.

I can not imagine that the 19 missionaries being released would want to be freed under the terms that South Korea has agreed to. Doesn’t stopping future Christian missionary work in Afghanistan make the loss of two missionaries less significant? It was important enough for them to sacrifice their lives to spread God’s word, so wouldn’t a better response be to flood the country with more missionaries? I’m just saying, we are in a religious war and the only thing the enemy fears is the Truth that is Jesus Christ.

Michelle Malkin has more here and more over at LGF here.
