As Americans, as citizens, we have the duty to stand up and defend our Constitution. We have the same obligation to our country that soldiers do when they swear an oath to defend this great nation from enemies both foreign and domestic (Army.mil). History, our history, is rich with patriotism, rich with sacrifice, both from soldiers fighting on distant shores to everyday citizens pitching in what they can to support such efforts. From the birth of this nation to that dark day in September a decade ago, Americans have always united to defend ourselves from external threats and many have paid the ultimate sacrifice to do so. So why do we sit idly by as our nation is being ripped apart from within its own borders? We have a right, a duty, to defend this grand experiment from domestic enemies yet we do nothing to stop the usurping of Constitutional power from the citizens and states that are the bedrock of this Republic. This nation needs a reboot or better yet a fresh install of the Constitution, back to the original intentions that brought together thirteen separate and sovereign States.

Democratic Violence
March 25th, 2010 — Politics, Terrorism
So I have to admit that I am completely torn on this whole “violence” thing against Democrat representatives. I do not condone violence as a solution to anything but on the other hand has any violence been committed? Reports so far seem to be about bricks attacking windows, which would be scary I imagine for a window. Other than that, what has actually been done to cause the ruckus? (I am conveniently ignoring the Rep’s brother’s house that had the propane line supposedly cut. That is serious if proven true and the fact that it was the brother’s house is even more troubling.)
I remember a few years back when it was really cool to burn effigy’s of our President. Or march around at rally’s holding signs with his head in the crosshairs or a noose around his neck like these:

It seems pretty clear to me that the threat of violence against politicians is not new, so why are we just now hearing from the likes of Steny Hoyer on this? Where were all the Democrats when it was considered good taste to call for the murder of the President? Hmmm, if I remember right some Democrats openly embraced some of these groups, the same thing they now accuse the Republicans of doing. How strange?!? The point I am trying to make here is stop acting like a bunch of pansies that run and cry to the press when it is your turn to feel a bit of wrath from the people that elected you. You thought it was great when it was Bush but now that the expressions of hate are coming your way it isn’t cool anymore huh? Let me say one last time that violence or even the threat of violence is not the way that anyone should behave in this country and specifically in this situation. This is however what happens when you sow the seeds of discontent for eight years and change what is socially acceptable from citizens.
James Cameron
March 24th, 2010 — Celebrities, Politics
Dear James,
Thank you for opening my eyes to the danger posed by the poisonous ideas spewed forth by the likes of Glenn Beck. As one who has “their head so deeply up their ass” I just bought hook, line, and sinker all the things Glenn has said. Now that you have enlightened me by speaking from your mansion in West Hollywood, I will watch Glenn in a whole new light. Oh yeah, I particularly liked it when you said this: From Hollywoodreporter.com James Cameron trashes Glenn Beck:
The "Avatar" director was equally unsparing in his comments about those who don’t accept global warming as fact.
"That’s right," Cameron said. "I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads."
Turning more serious, he added: "Anybody that is a global-warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their ass I’m not sure they could hear me."
On second thought it appears that you are the one spreading “poisonous” ideas with your little diatribe about global warming. I really enjoy the tough guy gig about having it out with global warming deniers at high noon! What a hoot coming from the guy that brought us Titanic and a 3-D movie of what happened to the Smurfs when they grew up, err I meant Avatar. Do you have any idea James how many men would love to take you up on the high noon thing just for making us sit through 2 plus hours of Titanic? Probably a lot more than would actually waste time debating you over the global warming lie.
Sincerely,
Me
