As I understand it God is translated Allah in Arabic which you have pointed out. The distinction here is whether the Muslim's Allah is the Christian's God. As a Christian, I do not believe them to be one and the same. So for a Christian to pray to Allah would be the equivalent of Muslims praying to Jesus Christ. Muslims would find this to be against their religion just as a Christian should find it against his. The same word can have two completely different meanings like we have here. Timothy,
